Natural room conditions through renewable energies
Our solar power plant on the hotel roof generates about 9,000 kW of solar electricity annually. We contribute to a drastic reduction in the greenhouse gas CO2 by exploiting groundwater for heating and cooling. Groundwater heat is removed in winter via a heat pump, while in summer the rooms are cooled with environmentally-friendly cold groundwater. The room conditions are always comfortable without requiring the otherwise customary high energy input. We also work with heat recovery. Used air is transported outdoors, whereby its heat is transferred to the incoming fresh air. This cuts heating energy and increases the quality of the air conditioning.
