The Hirschen in Lehen is the gateway to a wide variety of activities in the Kaiserstuhl, Black Forest, Markgräflerland and Alsace. Apart from Freiburg itself, excursions to Colmar, Strasburg or Basel are particularly popular. Hikers or mountain bikers find their El Dorado on our doorstep or in the hills of the Black Forest or Belchen. Families with children are attracted by the small Mundenhof zoo near Freiburg, Europa Park, the Affenberg, the Steinwasenpark, the larger zoos in Basel and Mulhouse, and the Eugen Keidel Thermal Baths.

The range of sports available extends from paragliding and gliding, through tennis and Nordic walking, to skiing and Nordic skiing in winter.
